FAQ
How do I start a trip?
Type an address or place in "Where to?", tap Search, pick a result, then tap Start trip. Tap the big red STOP button to end the trip.
Can I try it without driving?
Yes. Tap Demo drive (on-time arrival) or Demo (late) to watch a simulated trip with nags. It doesn't need your location.
Why is search greyed out?
Search locks while you're moving faster than about 10 km/h, so nobody types while driving. Pull over, or let a passenger choose before you leave.
Why does it want location "Always"?
Only so it can keep speaking turns while the screen is locked during a trip you started. Location is used only during a trip and stops when you tap STOP or arrive. If you choose "While Using", NagNav still works with the screen on.
The nags are too sassy.
Turn on Gentle mode (it's on by default) for kind, encouraging lines only, or pick a different personality.
I can't hear it with music playing.
NagNav lowers other audio while it speaks. Check that your ringer/volume is up and the phone isn't connected to another audio device you can't hear.
It says "NagNav is busy right now".
Our free routing service has a shared daily limit. Wait a minute and try again. Your trip in progress keeps working; only new routes are affected.
The route or a street name is wrong.
Map and routing data come from OpenStreetMap, which anyone can improve at openstreetmap.org/fixthemap. You can also tell us.
Which countries does it work in?
Address search currently covers Canada and the United States.
Safety
Don't interact with your phone while driving. Mount it, set your destination before you go, and always follow traffic laws, road signs and road conditions. Spoken directions can be wrong or late.
